This new partnership preserves Beldon Roofing Company’s San Antonio legacy while expanding its national reach.

Progressive Roofing, a leading national commercial roofing contractor based in Phoenix, Arizona, has acquired Beldon Roofing Company, a San Antonio institution with nearly eight decades of service. The acquisition, reported by the San Antonio Report, unites two family founded companies with a shared commitment to craftsmanship and customer care.

Founded in 1946 by World War II veteran Morry Beldon, Beldon Roofing began as AAA Roofing before evolving into Beldon Roofing and Supply in 1955. Under the leadership of Morry’s grandson, Bradford D. Beldon, the company has grown into a respected name in commercial roofing throughout South Texas. As part of the acquisition, Beldon Roofing will retain its name and continue operations in San Antonio.

According to the San Antonio Report article, Bradford Beldon emphasized the benefits the merger brings to his employees and customers, highlighting expanded access to benefits, services and professional growth opportunities. “I don’t consider it extinguishing the flame, I consider it making the flame bigger,” Bradford told the San Antonio Report. He noted that the company’s local identity and operations will remain intact.

Nick Hadden, CEO of Progressive Roofing, described the merger as “the beginning of an amazing journey” and praised the cultural alignment between the two companies. “Our companies share a unique culture of integrity, teamwork and a commitment to putting our customers first,” Nick said in a statement shared on social media by Bradford.

As part of the transition, Bradford will join the executive leadership team at Progressive, bringing decades of leadership and local knowledge to the national contractor. “This partnership opens tremendous growth opportunities for our employees and customers. This truly feels like the perfect fit,” Bradford said.

Progressive Roofing, founded in 1978, operates more than 20 locations across the U.S. and employs over 1,600 people. The company specializes in commercial, industrial and institutional roofing systems. The acquisition of Beldon expands its footprint in Texas and reinforces its service capabilities in the region.
