Rosscrete Roofing, Inc., chose restoration as a cost-effective alternative to a full tear-off and replacement when a well-known retail brand’s headquarters in Anaheim, California, needed a solution for its aging 55,000-square-foot built-up roof. Selecting APOC’s fully reinforced elastomeric roof system, the crew delivered energy savings, durability and warranty-backed peace of mind to the existing structure.
To address penetrations and potential problem areas, the team used APOC 264 Elastomeric Roof Patch in combination with APOC 482F Firm Polyester Reinforcing Fabric. This initial reinforcement sealed up vulnerable spots and set the foundation for a long-lasting system.
The next layer of defense was APOC 300-S Non-fibered Asphalt Emulsion, which was sprayed across the entire roof surface. The 482F reinforcing fabric was then embedded into the emulsion to provide a strong, flexible membrane. Unlike traditional hot-applied systems, APOC 300-S offers the proven longevity of asphalt without the associated risks of heat or open flames, making its application safer and more efficient.
To complete the system, APOC 248 Energy-Armor Arizona White Elastomeric Coating was applied across the roof, creating a seamless and highly reflective surface. This final layer reflects UV rays, resists thermal shock and helps reduce internal building temperature, ultimately contributing to lower energy bills.
Because of the low-odor, low-impact installation process, Rosscrete was able to complete the project while the building remained fully occupied. With APOC’s labor and material warranty in place, the building’s owner now has a high-performing roof that will require less maintenance and deliver long-term cost savings.
