Top June stories: Cool roofing, company culture and commitment to continued improvement

Here’s what’s been trending on CoatingsCoffeeShop™ this past month. 

Despite the summer heat in Las Vegas in June, the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) cooled things down with new technology updates, continuing education opportunities, international outreach and so much more during their Annual Summer Meeting. The Coffee Shops Editor Lauren White wrote about her experience as a first-time attendee of the event in one of our most read articles from last month. One of my favorite topics to write about in this industry is the incredible culture and community within roofing. Another top article this month featured an interview I conducted with Bryan and Vicky Pulliam, a power couple who work for Tremco Roofing and Weatherproofing Technologies Incorporated (WTI). Beacon Building Products highlights women in the roofing industry each year through their annual Female Roofing Professional of the Year program to acknowledge their commitment to their career, the industry and their communities. As this year’s winner, Brooke was acknowledged for her exceptional work ethic and impressive achievements. A founding member of National Women in Roofing (NWIR) and chair for the NWIR Oklahoma Council, she also supports a number of organizations to empower others in the industry.
