Work Boots Photo Contest

Meredith Moran Pruim from A-1 Roofing Company of Elk Grove Village, Illinois writes, "Heels for the office, boots for the roof!"

Kylie Miller from Miller’s Roofing of Wellsville, PA writes "I'm the only woman on our team who wears workbooks ;) Maybe someday I'll put some glitter and glam on em!"

Gerry Messina from B2P Consulting of Wyckoff, New Jersey writes "One set of shoes needs to go….have another ready to come into the game.”

Frances Carter from Fayetteville, North Carolina writes, "I know only one pair classify as "boots", but these are just some of the work shoes (yes safety composite toe) that I was required to have in my career position before I retired last year. I only had to wear them a few times a month and I managed to keep them clean. I gave 3 other pairs away before I retired, so they are not included in the picture."

Heide Pacheco from ACMI Construction Corp of Homestead, FL writes, "They say roofing is all about balance; but my guy took it to the next level. Caught mid‑tippy‑toe like he’s auditioning for Dancing With the Stars, he still never missed a nail. When your crew can roof and groove, you know you’ve got the right team.”

Michael Black from Sutter Roofing Company of Sarasota, Florida writes, "Paint, coatings, sealant—every mark tells a story of long days, tough conditions, and getting the job done right. No showroom shine here… just real-world wear from crews who take pride in protecting what matters most. Because at the end of the day, clean boots don’t build watertight roofs—our crews do."

Dawn Holsinger from Delta Rep Group of Saint Petersburg, Florida writes, "Making work boots fun! Love red!"

Tad Bush from GreenCo Construction Services, Inc. of Lewisville, TX writes, "From residential roofs to industrial facilities, my boots have seen it all. These boots were made for working, and that's just what they'll do.”

John Moseley from Tecta America Southeast of Leeds, Alabama writes, "RED WING STEEL TOE- don't feel like standing on a frying pan when on a roof - not super heavy, like many steel toes are."

Work boots or shoes are an essential part of every contractor's safety gear. The right footwear reduces fatigue during long hours on the roof, and can help prevent injuries and improve productivity. So what is your favorite pair?
