Build a stronger industry at RCMA’s Fall Meeting

Pack your coat and get ready to go to Minnesota this October 23-25 for the RCMA’s Fall Meeting!  

In the first episode of Coffee Conversations to air on CoatingsCoffeeShop, it’s the Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association (RCMA)’s moment to shine! In this episode, sponsored by APOC, Heidi J. Ellsworth hosts a panel that consists of Sara Jonas, Jim Arnold, Jenn Brake and Chris Huettig to get the scoop on RCMA’s Fall 2024 Meeting, happening October 23-25 in St. Paul, Minnesota. 

Associations like RCMA are key to creating a supportive and powerful industry community. “These associations help us come together with like-minded people to talk about technical issues we all face, government challenges with our products and just overall marketing and branding of roof coatings and getting the acceptance in the industry,” shared Chris, who is the national director of technical services for KARNAK. He added, “Together, as many people say with associations, together we are stronger than we are standing as one. And that really goes for the RCMA.” Sara, the vice president of marketing for ICP group, echoed his sentiment, sharing, “The biggest thing is an industry association allows you to have a voice at the table. If you don't like the way something is going, get involved. If you like something and you want to see more of it, get involved.” 

For those in the roof coating industry interested in getting involved, RCMA’s 2024 Fall Meeting is a great opportunity. Jenn, who is the owner of Brake Marketing and Management, explained what can be expected out of meetings like this, saying, “The fall meeting is the place to attend. We have an exciting lineup of speakers and events starting with our in-person committee meetings. We talk about all these different topics, and this is the place that everybody will be able to come together in person to talk about them.” This event features committee meetings, speakers, keynotes, panels and more! Jim, RCMA’s chair of communications marketing and education committee, shared what drove them in planning this meeting, saying, “The advocacy groups, and RCMA in particular, offer the members to participate in the greater good. And really it allows you to be a bigger part of the industry than you could ever be with your individual company. So, we're there as a united front.”
