Henry’s Pro-Grade® 988 Silicone Roof Restoration System is built to help contractors complete roof restoration projects efficiently while ensuring reliable, lasting protection. Unlike acrylic systems that require dry conditions to cure, Pro-Grade 988 is rain safe in as little as 15 minutes. Its moisture-curing silicone chemistry lets crews work confidently in unpredictable weather, maintaining productivity without compromising results.
The coating’s broad application temperature window – 35°F to 120°F – extends the usual season and offers flexibility in varying climates. Pro-Grade also allows contractors to achieve full coverage in a single application with its 92% solids content, meaning fewer gallons required and less time spent on each job.
This system is designed for long-term performance in environments where ponding water, temperature swings and UV exposure are constant challenges. The 100% silicone formulation resists cracking, degradation and re-emulsification under standing water, outperforming acrylic and hybrid coatings.
Pro-Grade 988 also remains flexible in a wide temperature range, from –15°F to 180°F, ensuring consistent performance from cold winters to hot summer rooftops. The fiber-reinforced flashing Pro-Grade 957 Silicone Fibered Roof Sealer eliminates the need for fiber reinforcement at seams and penetrations, simplifying detail work and saving labor without sacrificing durability.
One of the key innovations in the Pro-Grade 988 system is Henry’s patented Dirt Pick Up and Resistance (DPUR) technology, developed to address a common issue with silicone coatings: surface discoloration from airborne particulates.
The DPUR formulation uses polysiloxane and a tethered surfactant that resists dust attraction and activates a self-cleaning effect when exposed to rain. This combination keeps the roof surface cleaner, maintaining its bright white appearance and reflectivity over time.
With an aged Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) value of 106, Pro-Grade 988 helps maintain energy efficiency as the building ages, reducing heat absorption and supporting long-term cost savings for owners.
