The World of Concrete 2025 had industry leaders unveiling cutting-edge solutions that promised to transform the coatings and waterproofing sector. Among the standout exhibitors was Gaco, a company at the forefront of decking, waterproofing and roofing innovations.
On day two of the event, Heidi J. Ellsworth visited with Les Henry, a technical support expert for Gaco, to discuss the latest advancements in coatings technology. Les highlighted two products that generated buzz among contractors: the GacoFlex LM60 fluid-applied waterproof membrane and the newly launched GacoPoly FastPass system.
"Our focus is DWP decking and waterproofing; specifically, our solutions that simplify the installation process for contractors," Les explained. "LM60 is a fluid-applied, below-grade, in-between-slab waterproof membrane. GacoPoly FastPass is a one-coat integral aggregate coating system, which can be applied in one pass."
Contractors visiting the Gaco booth were keenly interested in the labor-saving aspect of these solutions. "We’re seeing a lot of interest in one-pass systems, as contractor teams often don’t have the manpower to apply 2-4 coats," Les noted. Gaco reps emphasized how their product lineup enhances productivity without compromising durability.
Restoration was another key focus of this year’s show. Gaco showcased new solutions for maintaining and enhancing existing structures. "One of our new product lines is GacoFloor. We’re currently focused on the anti-slip nature of these coatings – suited for pedestrian and vehicular traffic – but we’ll soon release waterproof offerings that are 100% epoxy and polyaspartic."
World of Concrete reinforced Gaco’s position as a practical partner for contractors. With products designed for faster application and long-term performance, the brand drew the attention of contractors looking to do more with less.
