Before its opening in 1999, the building owners of the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino wanted to ensure their hotel was in tip top shape. This huge hotel houses 2,500 rooms, a theater for live entertainment and many areas for dining and lounging. Hotel visitors are also treated to beautiful views of half-scale replicas of the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower.
The building owners wanted a roof that would look aesthetically pleasing while also holding up well over time. That’s why roofing contractor, Commercial Roofers, Inc., chose SOPREMA products for this 370,000 square foot project. They decided that their SBS-modified bitumen membrane would best protect the hotel. They also used their ELASTOPHENE® products for the base ply, cap sheet and flashing.
Due to the large scale of the project, it was not without its challenges. Installing the roof in the Nevada desert heat was obviously an issue and the roof would constantly expand and contract because of it. Despite all this, the project was completed, and the end result was a beautiful, long-lasting roof.
