In this CoatingsCast episode, Jeff Berzolla sits down with Heidi J. Ellsworth to discuss how his company is transforming contractors’ lead generation processes for the digital age. Jeff is the founder of Instant Roofer and has spent over 25 years working in technology. He explained his background, sharing, “I'm known in the contracting industry for consulting, helping contractors with their marketing in particular. But I have a lot of long and detailed roots in technology and developing software for our clients as well.”  

Jeff started Instant Roofer in 2022 with the goal of making technologically driven solutions easy and accessible. He had realized that traditional lead generation on sites had many pain points for contractors and homeowners alike. Jeff explained, “There’s a constant complaint that roofing contractors are ripped off by lead generation companies. Not only are leads not exclusive, but they're also shared oftentimes, multiple times a lead, I'd say conservatively shared amongst four contractors and sometimes shared up to 16 times.” Beyond that, these traditional companies often come with large fees.  

This is why so many of their services are free and, for the products that are purchasable, they make it clear that the goal and mission is to prioritize the contractor so they can better serve homeowners.
