Spanning an impressive 100,000 square feet and dating back to the 1980s, the roof of Billy Bob’s Texas was in desperate need of a roof refresh. Having been dubbed “the world’s largest honky-tonk,” the structure’s roof covered an extensive surface area and was critical to the protection of a major business. The existing spray polyurethane foam roof was installed in 1981 and suffered damage from hail and mechanical issues. Forty-three years later, it was past time to return the roof to its proper condition.
The project contractors, DFW Urethane and Clayton Pool Roofing, called on none other than Everest Systems to bring the roof back to life. After clearing off the existing roof and ensuring it was free of moisture, they primed the substrate with Everprime GP, before applying three coats of Evercoat EC/HT. High traffic areas received an additional coat as well as higher compressive foam to ensure safety and longevity.
The viscosity of the material effectively repaired the hail damage, as though it never happened! This dramatic restoration was just what Billy Bob’s Texas needed to bring life back to its roof, and to keep it going for decades to come!
Evercell 3.0 and Evercoat HT Top Coat were also used in this restoration process, alongside the Everprime GP, Evercoat EC/HT bases, to ensure the structure was restored to top condition, ready to take on the elements and harsh climate of Texas.
