CCS Influencer Joe Sorrentino says that technology is reshaping how roofing businesses operate, from roof measurements and inspections to estimating costs and customer service.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) should be based on authentic intelligence. Do not over commit and under achieve! And do not think that AI going away! Many traditional long standing and lengthy processes for many construction and design professions will be eliminated by AI. Many miraculous findings and results will be quickly discovered due to the use of AI. To understand its’ advantages for your firm, you must first research and develop a clear path for implementing into specific aspects of your organization.

Innovation is key to an organization’s success and sustainability. Enhancing key segments of your business, service and repair, for example with the ability to tract, follow up and continue to maintain client relations is key to a sustainable and profitable business model.

Here are a few examples of the do’s and don’ts of AI

Things to do

  1. Define clear objectives before implementing AI.
  2. Understand trustworthy AI and upcoming regulations.
  3. Leverage AI appropriately to optimize operations and reduce costs.

Thing to NOT do

  1. Don't just collect data; AI should actively help teams flag risks and reduce rework.
  2. Avoid not having a clear strategy for implementing AI.
  3. Be cautious of potential risks when using AI in the workplace.

The roofing industry is evolving, and AI (Artificial Intelligence) and automation significantly improve efficiency, accuracy and profitability. Technology is reshaping how roofing businesses operate, from roof measurements and inspections to estimating costs and customer service.
